About the role
The Senior PLC/HMI Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems for automotive interiors. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and integration with other systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems using PLCs and HMI software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing processes
- Debug and troubleshoot complex automation issues
- Document system designs and procedures for future reference
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PLC/HMI automation engineering
- Proficiency in ladder logic, SFCs, and HMI development tools
- Experience with industrial automation standards such as Profibus, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Qualifications
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards and practices
- Experience with robotics and motion control systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Skills
- PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- HMI development (Wonderware, GE Fanuc, etc.)
