Senior PLC/HMI Automation Engineer — Automotive Interiors

About the role

The Senior PLC/HMI Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems for automotive interiors. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and integration with other systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems using PLCs and HMI software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing processes
• Debug and troubleshoot complex automation issues
• Document system designs and procedures for future reference

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PLC/HMI automation engineering
• Proficiency in ladder logic, SFCs, and HMI development tools
• Experience with industrial automation standards such as Profibus, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive industry standards and practices
• Experience with robotics and motion control systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
