Senior Platform Engineer, Infrastructure

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will shape the core infrastructure that supports the organization's internal engineering teams and production environments. You will own foundational platform services, create repeatable infrastructure delivery processes, and help enable secure, scalable self-service for builders across the company. The position will partner closely with SRE and other engineering stakeholders to improve reliability, observability, and operational consistency. You will also help establish cloud governance and cost discipline across a modern multi-region environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain foundational shared services, including VPCs, DNS, PKI, and secrets management
• Own the cloud landing zone, including multi-region connectivity and tagging standards
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines for automated and repeatable infrastructure changes
• Create self-service pathways for code hosting and deployment for builders
• Establish guardrails for safe self-service through policy-as-code and security baselines
• Develop foundational observability infrastructure for system health visibility
• Collaborate with SRE on platform reliability, availability, and performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering with ownership of production environments
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible
• Experience with GitOps-style delivery pipelines, especially GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals, including VPC, DNS, and PKI
• Familiarity with observability tooling such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps practices
