Senior Platform Engineer

About the role
The Platform Engineer will help build, test, and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software. Work closely with development and operations teams to automate processes, enhance system reliability, and improve deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with Ansible, and passionate about automation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and adherence to best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform-related issues
- Design, build, and maintain internal platforms that support application development and deployment
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve developer experience and deployment workflows
Requirements
- CWIP: IAT Level 1 Tech Experience
- Linux experience
- Degree preferred, at least 10 years of experience
- TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance required
- U.S. Citizenship
Pay
For this role, the typical salary range is $150,000 to $250,000. Exceptional candidates with outstanding qualifications may be offered compensation above this range.
