Senior Platform AI Engineer

For our client, a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space, we are seeking a Senior Platform AI Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural direction, infrastructure investments, and roadmap priorities for the efficiency platform
• Establish platform contracts and onboard new team contributions
• Lead end-to-end delivery of the platform from design to sustained production operation
• Drive platform-wide decisions related to orchestration, authentication, observability, and scalability
• Act as the technical authority for AI-powered infrastructure, setting engineering standards and mentoring engineers

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS, EE, CE, or related field with 8+ years of hands-on experience in production-grade infrastructure
• 5+ years of ML infrastructure experience with ownership of a model serving platform or backend service
• Proven ability to set technical direction at a company or department level, establishing platform strategy and standards
• Strong Python skills and experience with a compiled language (C, C++, Go, Java, Rust)
• Familiarity with job queues and execution frameworks (Kubernetes Jobs, Celery, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence architectural decisions across teams

Pay

$184,000 – $356,500 annually
