About the role
The Senior Plant Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, tearing down, and rebuilding all equipment on-site. This role involves using advanced tools, welding, and cutting to maintain and repair plant machinery. The technician ensures site reliability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment: Independently perform and complete most routine maintenance tasks on quarry plant equipment.
- Experienced in Using Tools and Techniques: Use appropriate tools and techniques for repairing conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, and other essential plant machinery.
- Making Decisions and Solving Problems: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair common mechanical issues to ensure equipment reliability.
- Effective Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with teams to optimize plant performance.
- Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards: Follow maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Proactiveness: Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, preferably within the aggregate industry.
Skills
- Deep Understanding: Understands plant equipment, systems, and maintenance best practices.
- Expertise: Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical failures.
- Proficiency: Skilled in welding, cutting, and using advanced tools for repairs.
- Knowledge of Processes: Strong knowledge of equipment teardown and rebuild processes.

Pay
The base hourly range for this role is between $34.00 - $40.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package.
