About the role
The Senior Assortment Planner will establish clear end-to-end assortment plans, partnering with Merchandising, Sales, and Business Planning to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer-centric offerings. This role involves creating pre-season style color plans that support Nike's goals, managing from in-season optimization to a robust, seasonal rolling forecast process.
Responsibilities
- Leverage statistical forecasting, data science, and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season.
- Manage and influence others to craft compelling communication grounded in data.
- Think critically and understand the potential of a style in the marketplace, quantifying any gaps to financial plans from a bottoms-up perspective.
- Understand consumer and marketplace trends.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years directly relevant work experience.
- Experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product, and inventory planning.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to develop accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes.
Qualifications
- PhD or Law + 1 year; Masters + 0-3 years.
