About the role
The Senior Planner (6-Month Contract) is responsible for leading inventory strategy, open-to-buy (OTB) management, and demand forecasting across a high-volume premium skincare portfolio. This role will step in to cover a maternity leave during our peak holiday trading window, overseeing stock portfolio management for major global brand partners to secure revenue targets and optimize vendor rebate structures. Additionally, this role provides vital technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior and associate planners across the skincare division.
Responsibilities
- Replenish stock on a weekly basis and manage open-to-buy to agreed targets
- Forecast sales at SKU level using sales history, lost sales calculations, and future business plans to prepare order quantities and avoid out of stocks
- Maintain and update the WSSI, reporting on performance vs. plan on a weekly and monthly basis
- Identify best and worst sellers and adjust forecasts and intake plans accordingly
- Ensure high in-stock rate while managing EOM stock holding targets
- Report on aged and slow-moving lines and propose swap-out, markdown, or RTV solutions
- Order and allocate stock to multiple warehouses to ensure appropriate coverage and avoid split shipments
- Work directly with brand partners to align on intake schedules, shipment compliance, and lead times
- Support the planning and execution of key trading events including peak and holiday trade
- Provide data for management accounts and contribute to seasonal budget submissions
- Manage and develop the Assistant Planner, ensuring POs are raised and chased appropriately
Requirements
- 5 or more years in planning or forecasting, retail or e-commerce environment
- Replenishment and open-to-buy management experience
- Experience managing or mentoring direct reports
- Strong analytical skills and ability to demonstrate logical analysis to address business challenges
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel; SQL knowledge a plus
- Ability to filter and prioritize sources of information and identify emerging trends
- Previous experience working cross functionally with all levels to complete projects
- Flexible and amenable to changes in a fast-pace, high growth environment. Must be able to multi-task while accommodating changing priorities
- Beauty or e-commerce retail experience a plus
- Experience negotiating with external brand partners a plus
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Professional Certifications: CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)

Benefits
- Salary: $90,000 to $100,000
