SENIOR PLANNER
What You'll Do
Serve as the primary planning contact for major development projects, coordinating with applicants, departments, outside agencies, and community stakeholders.
Oversee preparation of staff reports, public hearing materials, notices, presentations, and meeting agendas for boards and commissions.
Review development plans and conduct inspections to ensure projects comply with zoning regulations, approved plans, and development standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to planning staff while helping improve processes, customer service, and development review workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent.
- Graduation from an institution of higher learning that is regionally accredited through the U.S. Department of Education with a bachelor's degree in Architecture/Landscape, Urban Planning or closely related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in planning or urban design.

Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary is $60,084.37 annually.

Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Work Location
City of Branson, Missouri; City Hall. This is an in-office position requiring work to be performed onsite.
