Senior PIMS Engineer

About the role

Responsible for delivering high quality Process Information Management System projects from conception to acceptance. Works in a project environment - from study phase through designing, implementation, documenting, delivering PIMS/ALMS solutions on-time, in alignment with the customer order and to the full satisfaction of the customer using state-of-the-art technology.

Duties/Results

• Work in a project environment - from study phase through designing, implementing, documenting, delivering PIMS/ALMS solutions on-time, in alignment with the customer order and to the full satisfaction of the customer using state-of-the-art technology.
• Liaises with the advanced solution sales/project team to analyze the customer needs and requirements.
• Development and delivery of advanced solution presentations / demonstrations / training.
• Integration of hardware and software elements and functional configuration of advanced solution packages (like OSI PI, Exaquantum, etc) for the upper level configuration of the overall process control system.
• Control and management of Factory Acceptance Testing, site commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing according to project milestones.

Essential Skill & Qualifications

• Must have complete project lifecycle experience.
• Must have worked in industrial automation industry as a Plant Information Management System (PIMS) engineer with experience in control system, interfacing methodologies especially with OPC compliant devices and industrial networking methodologies.
• Knowledge of Yokogawa Control Systems (Centum), Windows based SCADA , PIMS (preferably Exaquantum and/or PI) is preferred.
• Experience with control system (preferably Yokogawa Centum DCS), interfacing, especially with OPC compliant devices and industrial networking methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in installation and configuration of Real time historian including Graphics generation, Report generation, Development of customized calculation using scripts, interfacing with external systems like LIMS, ERP etc.
• Experience in installation and configuration of Windows operating system and components.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server database and MS Office.

Desirable Skills

• Working knowledge of OPC.
• Knowledge of SQL server database configuration & scripting.
• DCS or PLC operation and configuration.

Education & Prior Experience

• Bachelor Degree with engineering and/or software emphasis or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 9 years experience in process control systems, process engineering, process operations, or systems house application engineering.
