About the role
We are seeking a Senior Physical Security Console Operator to join the dynamic team in our South Windsor, CT facility. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, the access control system, security records, key control, ID/access badge issue, physical security of the site, equipment dispatch accountability, electronic inventory accountability, and safety inspections.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the physical security of the site in regards to protection of assets and personnel.
- Supervise and control personnel access into the facility.
- Monitor and report event alarms triggered on the access control system and/or Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, ID/access badge issues, physical security of the site, and the historical log book.
- Respond to, evaluate, and resolve any event alarms received at the console monitoring station.
- Conduct roving patrol inspections of the Broadridge facilities, both external and internal, and notify the proper Broadridge authority of any issues found, including procedural breaches in security policies.
- Keep the Security Management Team informed of all security matters and issues as they pertain to the site.
- Perform security records keeping, key control, ID badge and access badge issue, physical security inspections of the site, equipment dispatch accountability, electronic equipment inventory, and fire safety inspections.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports and review the historical log book.
- Conduct more specific inspections (fire safety, internal and external security perimeter inspections) of Broadridge areas and provide a report of findings on these assigned tasks.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required (Military and/or Law Enforcement experience or the recommendation of the hiring manager can be substituted for "security field" experience).
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with other Security and Facility personnel, both verbally and in written form.
- Must be vigilant, reporting any security issues or incidents.
- Knowledge of filing and phone courtesy is required.
- Ability to use a personal computer, including a basic level of the following: typing, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- CPR certification preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Saturday - Wednesday with occasional overtime. Shift is subject to change based on coverage and department needs.
- Must be able to travel and perform other related duties and functions as assigned by management.
Pay
Compensation rate is $20.75 per hour. Bonus eligible. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
