About the Role
Join Casey's as a Senior Petroleum Service Technician and enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule with nights and weekends off. You'll be responsible for the set-up, servicing, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of petroleum dispensing and ancillary equipment at Casey's stores in the Bloomington, IL area.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, site controllers, and credit card readers.
- Diagnose equipment problems and determine how to repair or replace tank and line monitoring equipment.
- Repair and maintain other types of equipment found in Casey’s convenience stores.
- Repair and maintain equipment and building electrical wiring, and fuel devices.
- Use instruments to test and evaluate performance of equipment; repair or replace defective valves, electrical boards, and other parts.
- Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations; work in a safe manner.
- Perform break-fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems, including electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work.
- Provide quality customer service that exceeds expectations by completing all assigned duties in a cost-effective manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a service technician or related role.
- Certified to work on petroleum equipment, or ability to obtain certifications within 3 months of hire date.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in building and mechanical trades work.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations; work well in high-stress environments while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
- Work is performed in a store setting; travel with overnight stays may be required up to 20% of the time.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the physical ability to drive a vehicle for job-related travel.

- Use eyesight to complete tasks.
- Lift up to 10 pounds.
- Use repetitive motions with the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
- Operate machinery (company vehicle, various power and hand tools).
- Work in varying temperatures (heat and cold), humidity, and other outdoor elements (precipitation and wind).

- Bend, stoop, or crouch to retrieve items from low positions.
- Reach at shoulder level.
- Sit and speak.
- Stand and walk up to 300 feet at a time.

- Climb (e.g., on a ladder to examine and monitor items at high positions).
- Kneel and squat to examine items at low positions.
- Lift up to 50+ pounds from ground to chest level.
- Reach above shoulder level and below waist.
- Push/pull.

Pay
Starting hiring range: $27.80 - $36.50 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, qualifications, local prevailing wages, and internal equity. The full salary range for this role extends beyond the typical hiring range, allowing for growth within the company.
