About the role

The Senior Performance Creative Strategist is a key, cross-functional role responsible for ideating, executing, and optimizing data-driven creative campaigns across paid social channels. This individual combines a deep understanding of performance marketing, consumer psychology, and creative storytelling to continuously test, evaluate, and scale high-performing creative that drives measurable business results. Working closely with marketing, creative, and leadership teams, the strategist will own a creative roadmap while ensuring every campaign strengthens the brand's voice in a competitive market.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a continuous creative-testing pipeline, with Meta as the primary channel and support for TikTok, AppLovin, and other emerging platforms as needed.
  • Own the creative strategy roadmap by developing innovative messaging, visuals, hooks, storytelling, and testing concepts informed by campaign performance and consumer insights.
  • Partner with designers, copywriters, media buyers, and external creative partners to produce high-performing ad assets while ensuring brand consistency and creative excellence.
  • Monitor campaign performance, identify actionable insights, and present creative concepts, test results, and strategic recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive campaigns, platform updates, and emerging creative best practices to continuously improve campaign performance.
  • Manage creative budgets, timelines, and project execution to ensure work is delivered on schedule and within scope.
  • Document creative learnings and maintain a library of top-performing assets, testing frameworks, and best practices to support ongoing optimization.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Performance Creative Strategist or in a similar role supporting high-performing DTC ecommerce brands or agencies serving DTC clients, with a proven track record of producing and scaling successful paid-social campaigns.
  • Deep expertise in Meta paid-social creative strategy, performance analysis, and paid-performance marketing, with familiarity supporting additional channels such as TikTok and AppLovin.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to evaluate Meta ad-account performance at the individual creative level, diagnose why creatives, hooks, angles, and formats succeed or fail, and translate insights into actionable creative concepts, testing strategies, and measurable business results.
  • Expertise in A/B testing, creative iteration, campaign optimization, and consumer insights, with the ability to synthesize performance data and market research into high-performing creative.
  • Experience building and scaling creative operations, including repeatable ad-production systems, testing programs, workflows, and project pipelines that support high-volume creative development from ideation through briefing, production, launch, analysis, and optimization.
  • Proven ability to develop production-ready creative, including compelling hooks, messaging, scripts, visual concepts, creative briefs, and continuous testing angles for UGC, video, and static advertising.
  • Advanced fluency with AI-powered creative workflows is required, including hands-on experience using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Parker, or similar platforms to accelerate research, ideation, briefing, copy development, and creative production while maintaining strategic judgment, originality, and brand quality.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills, including experience managing creative projects, timelines, budgets, and production workflows using platforms such as Monday.com or similar project management tools while partnering effectively with designers, copywriters, editors, media buyers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with creative production tools and workflows, including Adobe Creative Suite or comparable creative software.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating performance-driven video, UGC, and static advertising, with the ability to clearly articulate the strategy, hypothesis, measurable results, and creative iterations behind the work.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience supporting high-growth DTC brands, with fashion, apparel, menswear, or lifestyle experience strongly preferred.
