About the role
Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. This role is located in San Diego, CA, Sunnyvale, CA, Austin, TX, and Redmond, WA.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the definition and implementation of multiple spacecraft subsystems.
- Contribute in all phases of PCB design and production.
- Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to ensure the design meets all requirements from an electrical performance and mechanical enclosure perspective.
- Create all documentation packages required to fabricate and assemble the PCB/PCBA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years experience of PCB layout design using industry standard PCB design suites.
- 5+ years experience with high speed circuits.
- 5+ years experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years experience of PCB layout design using industry standard PCB design suites.
- Experience with using Mentor Xpedition.
- Experience in developing and design for manufacturing of PCBs deployed in space environments.
- Experience with high current density designs.
- Experience managing 3rd party layout services.
- Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments.
- Experience as a technical lead for small teams of PCB design engineers.
- Experience developing IPC class 2 and 3 boards.
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional technical teams.
- Ability to participate in schematic and design reviews.

Pay
Base salary range: $137,300.00 - $185,700.00 USD annually
