About the role
Lucix Corporation is a subsidiary of HEICO’s Electronic Technologies Group, specializing in RF Active and Passive Units, Subsystems, and Assemblies for commercial, civil, and defense satellite payloads. We also provide RF hardware for airborne and ground systems. Our operations are based in California, USA.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for PCB layout and design for power, analog, digital, and RF printed circuit boards
- Create library parts and maintain CIS component database
- Execute multilayer PCB layouts for RF, mixed-signal, and power designs
- Place and route components with consideration for signal integrity, return paths, grounding, and manufacturability
- Implement controlled impedance routing based on defined stackups
- Apply RF layout techniques including isolation, via stitching, and shielding strategies
- Support stackup definition and routing feasibility analysis
- Generate complete, release-ready fabrication and assembly documentation
- Produce ODB++ manufacturing outputs using BluePrint
- Identify and eliminate layout risks prior to release
- Drive layout feasibility and resolve constraints early in design
- Incorporate design review feedback efficiently and accurately
- Work directly with engineers and PCB vendors to ensure designs meet intent and build requirements
Requirements
Strong fundamentals, attention to detail, and ownership of your designs from initial placement through release are essential. Experience in PCB design, familiarity with RF and mixed-signal circuits, and proficiency in CAD software are required. Knowledge of controlled impedance routing, signal integrity, and RF layout techniques is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in PCB design
- Experience with RF and mixed-signal circuits
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or similar
- Knowledge of controlled impedance routing, signal integrity, and RF layout techniques
