About the role

The Sr. Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for providing timely and accurate support of multi-state payroll tax related activities. This role partners with internal colleagues, clients, and customers to resolve case creation/closure and Service Orders, email support, and phone queue support. The specialist resolves moderate complexity, high volume tasks related to workflow, as assigned. They communicate internally with colleagues and externally via client cases, email, and telephone as primary customer support for Payroll Tax Compliance, Reporting, and W2 support. They work proficiently in Salesforce to document customer inquiries and resolution. They process various data-related tasks within the Payroll Tax organization such as payments, reports, check requests, registrations, and filings. They escalate identified customer concerns or tax changes to leadership and help support newer specialists as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Responsibilities

  • Partners with internal colleagues / clients / customers to resolve case creation/closure and Service Orders
  • Case inquiries and follow up, email support and phone queue support
  • Solves moderate complexity, high volume tasks related to workflow, as assigned
  • Communicates internally with colleagues and externally via client cases, email and telephone as primary customer support for Payroll Tax Compliance, Reporting, and W2 support
  • Works proficiently in Salesforce to document customer inquiries and resolution
  • Processes various data-related tasks within the Payroll Tax organization such as payments, reports, check requests, registrations, and filings
  • Escalates identified customer concerns or tax changes to leadership
  • Helps support newer Specialists as a SME
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education Qualifications: General education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training required.

Experience Qualifications: Typically 4+ years Payroll tax experience required.

Pay

$25.24 to $42.93 per hour
