Senior Payroll Partner

Purpose
The Senior Payroll Partner is responsible for leading and managing payroll operations across assigned regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to support payroll governance, continuous improvement, and a seamless employee experience. This is a fast-paced, highly demanding role that requires managing multiple projects and processes concurrently while continuously meeting deadlines.
Key Accountabilities
Payroll Operations & Delivery
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple regions/countries
Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Manage payroll calendars, controls, and reconciliations
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness across payroll processes
Partner with Finance and Legal on compliance-related matters
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with payroll vendors and service providers
Partner with HR, Finance, and People Ops teams on payroll-related matters
Act as escalation point for complex payroll issues
Data Accuracy & Reporting
Ensure data accuracy between HRIS (e.g., SuccessFactors), payroll systems, and finance systems
Provide payroll reporting, analytics, and insights to leadership
Support audits and data validation activities
Process Improvement & Transformation
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations (e.g., payroll/HRIS)
Drive standardization and automation across global payroll operations
Employee Experience
Ensure timely and accurate responses to employee payroll inquiries
Partner with HR to improve payroll communication and transparency
Support employee lifecycle events impacting payroll (hires, terminations, bonuses, etc.)
Experience and Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of payroll experience, with global or multi-country exposure preferred?
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, multi-state tax, and regulatory requirements
Experience working with payroll vendors and HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, ADP)
Proven ability to manage complex payroll operations in a global environment

Reporting Line
