Senior Pastor

About the role

Hopewell First Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor who feels called by God to serve our congregation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the spiritual growth of the congregation
• Provide pastoral care and counseling to members
• Preach and teach the Bible regularly
• Oversee the worship services and other church activities
• Develop and implement church programs and ministries
• Work closely with the church leadership team

Requirements

• Meet the qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
• Uphold the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• Have 3-5 years of experience in pastoral ministry
• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Divinity or Theology from an Southern Baptist Convention seminary or an accredited university aligned with the SBC

• Strong biblical knowledge and understanding
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lead and inspire a congregation
• Experience in church administration and management
• Passion for the local church and its mission

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The Senior Pastor will work a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional evenings and weekends required for church events and meetings.
