This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Washington, DC/Herndon, VA, requiring onsite work two to three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for Foundry application and ontology development across client engagements.
- Design and build complex ontology models, Actions, Functions, and Workshop applications from the ground up.
- Own solution architecture decisions in coordination with client stakeholders and Unissant leadership.
- Mentor and upskill junior developers as the practice scales.
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact in client meetings and proposal support activities.
- Establish reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices for the practice.
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of software or data engineering experience, including three (3) or more years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience in a lead or senior capacity.
- Demonstrated experience owning Foundry solutions end-to-end, ideally in a federal or highly regulated environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and TypeScript.
- Experience translating ambiguous client requirements into scalable technical architecture.
- Prior experience supporting DHS, CBP, or other federal law enforcement/homeland security clients preferred.
- Experience standing up or scaling a Palantir practice within a consulting or systems integrator environment preferred.
- Familiarity with AIP preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field.
- MBA/Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study preferred.
- Palantir Foundry Developer certification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance is required.
Environmental Requirements
- Mainly a routine office environment.
- May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
- Flexible in working extended hours.
Minimal travel may be required.
