About the role
The University of Oklahoma is seeking a skilled Painter to join our Facilities Management team. In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain and enhance campus buildings through painting, surface preparation, drywall repair, texturing, trim work, custom coatings, and overall aesthetic maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and apply paints and finishes
- Color matching
- Repair and remodel surfaces
- Conduct inspections
- Maintain records and inventories
- Perform preventive maintenance on paint shop equipment
- Assist with glass and mirror installation, carpeting, and other campus support duties as needed
- Train team members
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or Trade School Certificate
- 24 months experience as a Brush Painter or closely related experience
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date) in order to drive University vehicles
Hiring contingent upon a background check.
Pay
Targeted salary up to $21.01 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
