Senior PACS Imaging Technician

About the role

This individual provides technical support to internal and external customers using digital and PACS technology, managing and supporting radiology electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in full management and support of radiology electronic systems, including PACS, PowerScribe, PowerConnect, Stratus, View Point, Vitrea, Syngo.via, Radimetrics, and Viz.AI
• Facilitate the training of onboarding radiologists, technologists, referring physicians, and other clinical users
• Participate in the implementation of additions and changes within the organization and radiology associated applications, including software and hardware
• Act as a liaison between Radiology and Information Systems departments

• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with physicians, nursing, and ancillary departments
• Solves problems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner; demonstrates oral and written skills
• Uses time efficiently, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
• Working knowledge of the radiology department and related equipment
• Proficient in the Microsoft suite of software
• Communicates effectively to train and guide staff within the department
• Understands system development and displays organizational skills

Qualifications

• Required: 5 years experience in the management and support of healthcare information systems
• PREFERRED: Experience with radiology-specific health information systems, cloud-based archive applications, and entailed processes

$31.76 - $52.40 per hour
