Principals Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute full lifecycle Oracle Financials projects, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (finance teams, IT, and leadership) to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
- Hands on implementation of Oracle Financials modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, FA) and to contribute to the integration with other enterprise systems.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including functional consultants, developers, and analysts.
- Facilitate process optimization by leveraging Oracle Financials best practices to enhance financial operations.
- Conduct status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation, user training, and knowledge transfer for sustained system adoption.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Hands on experience implementing Oracle Financials (Cloud) implementations.
- PREFERRED experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years focused on Oracle Financials (EBS or Cloud) implementations.
- Proven expertise in Oracle Financials modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA).
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and ERP system integrations.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies and tools like MS Project or Jira.
- Familiarity with change management, user training, and post-go-live support.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials and related cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of financial reporting tools (e.g., Oracle BI, Hyperion) and data migration strategies.
- Prior success in managing cross-functional or global project teams.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
