Senior Oracle Developer
About the role
The Senior Oracle Developer will lead and mentor a team of developers in delivering technology solutions, providing technical direction, ensuring system design aligns with business outcomes, and maintaining high standards for coding and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead feature delivery, including technical design, development, testing, and migration of Oracle objects.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to a team of developers.
- Participate in status meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure system design and requirements align with business outcomes.
- Act as a liaison for production activities and issues.
- Oversee the continuous improvement of database scalability and performance.
- Utilize versioning tools such as Git/Bitbucket and set up jobs using Autosys for automation.
- Advocate for modern application development and deployment practices like Agile, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years of Data Warehousing experience, including manipulation and transformation of large datasets.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience with relational database management systems, particularly Oracle, including developing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Experience: 6+ years of SQL and PL/SQL development experience with Oracle DBMS.
- Experience: 6+ years using TOAD, Unix Shell Scripting, Autosys, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Oracle Database Platforms.
- Advanced analytical, debugging, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Demonstrable risk identification skills.
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
