About the role
The Senior Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining complex Oracle database environments. This includes ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and security measures.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Oracle database environments
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place
- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate database solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Proven experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle GoldenGate
- Experience with cloud-based databases and virtualization technologies
- Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Knowledge of backup and recovery methodologies
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Qualifications
- CCIE Security certification preferred
- Experience with NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c and later versions
- Experience with Oracle Data Masking and Oracle Secure Backup
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash

Pay
Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
Schedule
