Senior Oracle Apex Specialist

Location: NYC (Hybrid, 4 days onsite) · Duration: 6 months contract with a possible extension

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Oracle Apex Developer/Architect with deep expertise in Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle Visual Builder, Oracle Database, and front-end web technologies. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications that extend and modernize our existing business systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who partners closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and IT leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. This individual will leverage Oracle APEX, Visual Builder, PL/SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and BI Reporting tools to streamline business processes, improve user experience, and provide actionable business insights.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise solutions using Oracle APEX.
• Strong experience developing applications using Oracle Visual Builder.
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database design, development, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing responsive web applications.
• Proven experience designing and supporting BI Reports, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Experience integrating applications using REST APIs, web services, and other integration technologies.
• Strong understanding of the application development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and deployment processes.
• Experience troubleshooting complex application, database, and performance issues in a production environment.
• Strong ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle APEX Certification.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience supporting Oracle ERP, HCM, Financials, or other enterprise Oracle applications.
