Senior Optimization Engineer
About the role
The Senior Optimization Engineer will play a critical role in the design and optimization of building systems, ensuring that projects meet sustainability goals and client needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize building systems for energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate optimization solutions into project designs.
- Conduct analyses to identify opportunities for system improvements and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards related to building systems optimization.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during the design and construction phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in building systems engineering, with a focus on optimization.
- Proficiency in building simulation software such as EnergyPlus, EQuest, or similar tools.
- Experience with LEED certification and sustainability standards.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Passion for sustainability and innovation in the built environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and control systems.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
- Understanding of green building rating systems like LEED, WELL, or others.

Pay
Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
Schedule
