Role Summary
This construction project closing support role involves managing the documentation and financial reconciliation of capital construction projects. The position includes reviewing, compiling, and analyzing various project records, invoices, and reports to ensure accurate and complete project closure processes. It offers an opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams to support project completion and financial accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and reconcile project documentation, including as-builts, leakage logs, and service line records.
- Process contractor invoices, including job orders, completion reports, and major material invoices.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation related to project closure and invoice processing.
- Utilize software tools such as Maximo, Oracle, Markview, Locus View, PowerPlant, ONE Map, Business Intelligence, TEAMS, SharePoint, and Excel to verify data and prepare reports.
- Prepare completion reports and support documentation for project closure.
- Code invoices for FERC accounts and support related documentation.
- Generate debit memos and journal entries to correct labor and property costs.
- Communicate effectively with Field Operations, Engineering, GIS, and Property Accounting to ensure documentation quality and project status updates.
- Absorb and support financial forecasting by analyzing project statuses and invoice timing.
- Collaborate regularly with local and statewide teams via Teams and email to facilitate project closeout activities.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in business administration, related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience reviewing construction documentation and contractor invoices.
- Proficiency with software tools including Maximo, Oracle, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of construction policies, procedures, and terminology.
- Ability to interpret manuals, maps, reports, and project documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and write fluently in English.
- Availability to work on-site reliably and consistently.
Publishing Pay Range
$15.00 – $20.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
