Senior Operations Specialist

About the role
The Senior Deposit Operations Specialist supports the daily operations of deposit accounts and related banking services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of transactions while delivering exceptional internal and external customer service. This role works closely with other divisions/departments to support deposit products, resolve account issues, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and intermediate client service duties, including balancing GLs and other daily maintenance operations reports, online banking, and cash management functions (mRDC, RDC, ACH), cash letter adjustments, and other client transactions.
- Handles adjustments and research requests related to deposit accounts.
- Monitors and processes deposit returns and exceptions.
- Performs daily balancing, reconciliation, and reporting functions.
- Administers and maintains debit card services and remote deposit services.
- Reviews and processes legal documentation, including levies, garnishments, subpoenas, and deceased account documentation.
- Researches and responds to inquiries regarding deposit operation issues.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and recommends operational efficiencies.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation in accordance with retention requirements.
- Processes deposit account-related requests and account maintenance as needed.
- Assists clients with Online Banking, including resetting passwords, troubleshooting, and reviewing potential fraudulent transactions.
- May assist clients with Mobile Banking and Mobile Remote Deposit Capture basic functionality.
- May assist New Accounts with ordering checks and processing debit card applications.
- Attends and contributes to Operations and All Staff meetings.
- Assists management in ensuring compliance with applicable banking regulations, particularly the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

- Prohibition on Funding of Unlawful Internet Gambling (Reg GG)
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML/BSA)
Requirements
- Two or more years of back-office operations experience.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with FIS (Horizon), Q2 Online Banking, Fedline Advantage, and wire automation tools preferred.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, including Reg E, Reg CC, Reg D, Reg DD, and AML/BSA.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Pay
The wage range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, taking into account skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
