Senior Operational Risk Management Manager Financial Services

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Operational Risk Management Manager Financial Services to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will oversee operational risk oversight within a financial services environment, providing independent challenge and guidance to the First Line of Defense. The position will partner closely with business leaders to assess risks, strengthen controls, and support sound decision-making across key initiatives. You will also help drive issue resolution, improve process discipline, and deliver clear reporting to senior management. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $114,000 – $165,300 annually Responsibilities Provide operational risk guidance and independent challenge to the First Line of Defense Lead operational risk assessments and analyze complex processes and data Identify emerging issues and trends through key risk indicators and assessments Drive issue resolution from operational process breakpoints, including root cause analysis Develop corrective action plans with business areas to address identified risks Review business initiatives to assess operational risk and control requirements Support preparation and communication of Operational Risk Management reporting for Senior Management Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit, or a similar discipline Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Strong executive presence Excellent cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills Ability to independently analyze complex processes, risks, and controls Execution-oriented and results-driven Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) plan with generous company matching contributions Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250/year Business-casual environment with jeans option Generous paid time off, including ten paid holidays and three floating holidays Paid volunteer time — 16 hours per year Leave of absence programs, including paid parental leave and disability Business Resource Groups (BRGs) for inclusion and collaboration Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
