Senior Operational Finance Analyst

Job Title: Senior Operational Finance AnalystLocation: Kansas City, Missouri (On-Site) Job Summary: We are representing an opportunity for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of accounting, project support, and business insight. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze financial data and key performance indicators across the company, global practices, regions, and business lines to support leadership decision-making.Serve as a financial liaison for project teams across revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, billing, project costing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Review contracts and interpret financial implications to support revenue recognition decisions and project-level accounting analysis.Evaluate project cost reports, including risks, contingencies, and warranties, to strengthen financial oversight.Partner with operational finance managers on planning initiatives and group coordination.Create and lead financial risk training for project managers, divisions, and location management.Manage month-end close activities and prepare accurate financial reports.Lead client-initiated audits, project-specific financial audits, and support the annual financial audit.Support special projects focused on innovation and process improvement, including development of best practices for US and India Contract Analyst teams.Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced staff while maintaining QA/QC process adherence and site safety compliance. Required:Must have prior experience in Engineering or Construction industries.Experience supporting project-based financial operations and working across multiple business stakeholders.Experience analyzing contracts, project costs, and financial performance to support accounting decisions and risk evaluation.Experience managing audits, month-end close activities, reporting, and process improvement initiatives in a finance environment.Contract Analyst team support experience.Background in revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting, billing, project costing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Experience with construction/engineering accounting standards.Experience evaluating project cost reports including risks, contingencies, and warranties.Experience leading client-initiated audits, project-specific financial audits, and annual financial audit support.Experience in month-end close and financial reporting.Experience developing and implementing best practices for Contract Analyst teams in the US and India.Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
