Senior Operating Room Assistant
About the role
The Senior Operating Room Assistant (OR Core Tech or Set-Up Technician) is responsible for retrieving and assembling all necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure. They monitor instrument and supply levels in the sterile supply areas, coordinate the location of supplies, collaborate with materials management to address shortages, assist in cleaning and preparing operating rooms, safely transport patients, retrieve and decontaminate instrumentation, deliver equipment, process and maintain equipment and instruments, and may assist with opening supplies before surgery.
Responsibilities
- Retrieves and assembles necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure.
- Maintains instrument and supply levels in the sterile supply areas.
- Collaborates with materials management to address shortages.
- Assists in cleaning and preparing operating rooms.
- Safely transports patients.
- Retrieves, decontaminates instrumentation, delivers equipment.
- Processes and maintains equipment and instruments.
- May assist with opening supplies before surgery.
Requirements
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 2 years of experience in the Operating Room

$21.16 - $32.37 per hour
