Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the migration of containerized workloads from ClearDATA to Horizon Landing Zone (LZ).
- Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and support applications running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, delivery, and other technical teams to plan and execute migrations.
- Analyze existing containerized applications and recommend appropriate migration strategies.
- Perform OpenShift cluster administration and operational support activities.
- Manage application deployments using Kubernetes/OpenShift objects, including Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Routes, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes.
- Troubleshoot platform, application, networking, and container-related issues during migration activities.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Document migration activities, technical procedures, and operational handover requirements.
- Independently drive assigned tasks with minimal supervision and provide regular status updates to project leadership.
- Track delivery and enforce SLAs, including vendor coordination.
- Support all in-flight and upcoming project activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift administration and operations.
- Strong practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Expertise in container technologies, including Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
- Experience migrating containerized applications across environments or cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of OpenShift architecture, cluster operations, workload management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with container networking, ingress, routes, storage classes, persistent volumes, and security policies.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Ability to independently coordinate with multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
