About the role
The ideal candidate will be part of the Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS) Engineering team responsible for a variety of engineering tasks including, but not limited to planning, conceptual engineering, design, final engineering, constructability, and cost estimating.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
- Apply knowledge and understanding of rail design, rail operations and construction on or about a railroad, overhead catenary systems, traction power substations, signals and communications systems, and track layout.
- Develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS).
Requirements
- Minimum: BA/BS in Civil or Electrical Engineering and ten years of related experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power/Track) or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- PREFERRED: Twelve years of diverse experience in the rail industry.

- Experience ensuring compliance with all federal, state & local regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS).
