About the role

At Fiserv, the Enterprise Observability team delivers scalable monitoring, telemetry, analytics and observability solutions across critical applications and infrastructure. As a Senior Observability Architect, you will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise observability platforms utilizing Splunk, Dynatrace, Cribl, OpenTelemetry and automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design enterprise observability solutions across logs, metrics, traces and events.
  • Architect telemetry pipelines using Splunk, Dynatrace, Cribl and OpenTelemetry.
  • Lead Splunk and Dynatrace engineering, optimization and administration efforts.
  • Develop automation and observability cost optimization strategies.
  • Promote SRE, operational excellence, security and governance standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in observability, monitoring, logging or platform engineering.
  • 7+ years of Splunk engineering or architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of Dynatrace administration experience.
  • 3+ years with Cribl, OpenTelemetry or telemetry pipeline engineering.
  • 7+ years of Linux administration experience.
  • 5+ years of cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • 5+ years of Ansible, Terraform, Python and JavaScript experience.

Qualifications

  • Splunk Architect, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, or related Splunk certifications.
  • Dynatrace Professional or Dynatrace Associate certification.
  • Experience implementing OpenTelemetry standards and instrumentation frameworks.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud-native observability.
  • Experience supporting Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience within highly regulated industries such as financial services, banking, healthcare, or technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or relevant experience.

Benefits

Salary Range: $128,000.00 - $216,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
