About the role

The licensed Registered Nurse (RN) plans & provides professional nursing services & standards of practice in accordance with level of experience & education, state board of nursing & established policies & procedures. The RN integrates the art, science, leadership & knowledge of the nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical & respectful direct / indirect healthcare services.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Iowa RN license, (current IL license if working in IL) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within three (3) months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within three (3) months of hire.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter for both Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training is required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Specialty practice certification is preferred.

  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Skills

  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws / regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines.
  • Ability to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to them as they change frequently.
  • Ability to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
  • Ability to travel to the various MercyOne/Trinity Health sites as needed.
  • Ability to comply with MercyOne and Trinity Health policies and procedures.
