Responsibilities
- Prepare nuclear test procedures to support construction, maintenance, and repairs of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants at Electric Boat and the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) in Groton, Connecticut.
- Conduct research of technical manuals, plant diagrams, and local instructions to obtain required information and ensure the safe operation of equipment, procedure flow, and workability.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and local writing guidelines.
- Coordinate procedure reviews, resolve procedure comments, and approve procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years experience working in Nuclear Test, Shipboard Test, Engineering, or equivalent experience as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator
- Technical/Procedure Writing experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
- Associate’s Degree in a related field
- Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Framemaker
- Preferred: Associate’s Degree in a related field
