Senior Nuclear Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare nuclear test procedures to support construction, maintenance, and repairs of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants at Electric Boat and the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) in Groton, Connecticut.
• Conduct research of technical manuals, plant diagrams, and local instructions to obtain required information and ensure the safe operation of equipment, procedure flow, and workability.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and local writing guidelines.
• Coordinate procedure reviews, resolve procedure comments, and approve procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience working in Nuclear Test, Shipboard Test, Engineering, or equivalent experience as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator
• Technical/Procedure Writing experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
• Associate’s Degree in a related field
• Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Framemaker
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree in a related field
