Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with contract manufacturers and suppliers to execute new product launches and support transition to high-volume manufacturing (HVM).
- Lead cross-functional Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability throughout the NPI lifecycle.
- Drive program schedule adherence by identifying risks early and implementing mitigation plans to prevent delays.
- Lead defect scoping, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, including support for 8D problem-solving processes.
- Support bring-up and qualification of semi-automated and automated production lines, including validation activities such as Cp/Cpk studies, GR&R, and cycle time verification.
- Support product iterations by providing manufacturing feedback and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate product designs with contract manufacturers for quotation, manufacturability, and production roadmap alignment.
- Collaborate with global teams across inverter and battery operations to ensure alignment during product development and manufacturing ramp-up.
- Maintain NPI dashboards, program trackers, and ensure manufacturing build readiness across programs.
- Support MAP documentation, product releases, and other required manufacturing deliverables.
- Lead qualification of new components in collaboration with suppliers and commodity teams.
- Mentor new hires by sharing technical knowledge and supporting onboarding and training activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product ramp-up in manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process validation, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supplier networks.
- Experience with root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action processes.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in power electronics, energy systems, or inverter manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with process capability analysis, statistical validation tools, and manufacturing quality systems.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and contract manufacturers.
