About the role
We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Senior Night Auditor to join our esteemed hospitality team. As the Senior Night Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and billing processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough checks of Bills of Transfer (BOT) and Kitchen Order Tickets (KOT) against bills to ensure precise quantity and value-wise billing for all F&B outlets.
- Review and verify manual billing points for arithmetic accuracy, ensuring all calculations are error-free.
- Ensure the rates applied in bills align with the approved price list, and any discounts offered are in accordance with the approved policy.
- Regularly update and review control sheets and continuity sheets for BOTs, KOTs, manual bills, and other related documents.
- Perform comprehensive nightly audits on the system and point of sales (POS) system to reconcile financial transactions and identify any discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed and accurate Daily Reports and Sales Reports as part of the night audit process, summarizing key financial data and transactions.
- Adhere to all established accounting and financial procedures while maintaining proper documentation of audit findings.
- Investigate and resolve any billing or transactional discrepancies, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure a swift resolution.
- Staff Training: Provide training and guidance to junior team members, ensuring their adherence to audit protocols and best practices.
- Uphold the highest standards of financial integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive guest and organizational data.
- Regularly communicate audit findings and financial updates to management, offering insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar financial audit role within the hospitality industry.
- In-depth knowledge of billing procedures and financial controls.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with point of sales (POS) systems and financial software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
