Senior Network Manager
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership to ensure reliable network performance, successful project execution, and exceptional service delivery across Bob’s enterprise voice and data networking environments (corporate, retail, and distribution). The Senior Network Manager oversees network engineering operations, manages internal and offshore resources, supports escalated technical issues, and partners cross-functionally to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure solutions that support business growth. Work may include a combination of in-office and remote work based on business needs, participation in on-call escalation support, occasional off-hours work, and travel for deployments, cutovers, or operational support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, stability, security, and continuous improvement of enterprise voice and data networking environments.
- Oversee network engineering operations and manage internal and offshore resources.
- Support escalated technical issues and ensure reliable network performance.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
- Balance project delivery, operational priorities, and service levels.
- Manage vendor and service-provider relationships, including SLA oversight, escalations, procurement, and lifecycle planning.
- Oversee network monitoring and management platforms to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Develop technical standards, documentation, and operational best practices.
- Translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives in geographically dispersed environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise networking experience supporting complex environments.
- 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience including routing, switching, wireless, and security.
- 2+ years of voice or collaboration technology experience.
- 2+ years of direct people leadership or formal supervisory experience.
- Experience leading technical projects and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
- CCNA Enterprise certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, related field, or equivalent experience preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
Skills
- Enterprise networking expertise including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security.
- Strong troubleshooting and escalation management skills within complex enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting Cisco-based infrastructure including routing, switching, firewalls, voice, and collaboration technologies.
- Leadership experience managing technical teams including hiring, coaching, mentoring, workload planning, and performance management.
- Knowledge of Layer 3 networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Experience managing secure connectivity solutions including VPNs, firewalls, and disaster recovery networking.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with Cisco Call Manager, SIP trunking, video conferencing, and contact center ecosystems (preferred).
- Exposure to public cloud networking concepts including AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred).
- Knowledge of network automation, process improvement, and infrastructure optimization strategies (preferred).
- Experience supporting retail, multi-site, or large-scale enterprise environments (preferred).
- Familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Visio for documentation and design artifacts.

Pay
Expected base pay: $123,000 - $155,000 (not including potential commissions, incentives, or bonuses).
Physical Demands
