INNOVIM is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for Operations and Maintenance supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Locations: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Work in close coordination with team leads, project managers, network architects, and engineers from other service areas to provide Tier III support for the MDA Enterprise.
- Participate in daily/weekly/monthly Battle Rhythms contributing to maintenance checks and regular network services.
- Generate and provide status reports, network anomaly analysis, and develop engineering red lines to support network maintenance actions, engineering changes/upgrades, and security vulnerabilities.
- Serve as an Operations and Maintenance expert and provide technical contribution on outage or troubleshooting bridge calls.
- Respond to, create, and troubleshoot support Incident tickets and Work Orders in the Remedy IT Service Management system.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for network support functions if incidents arise after core hours.
- Work in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- 10+ years of general (full-time) work experience, which may be reduced with completion of advanced education.
- 5+ years of directly related experience.
- 6+ months of experience working in a management or leadership role.
- Experience with Internet Protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL) and multiple network types (e.g., LAN, WAN, VxLAN, SDN).
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, STP, TCP/UDP, voice, video, VPN/VRF, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, SD-WAN, SD-Access, ISE, and DNAC.
- Experience with routing and switching hardware including Cisco platforms, Palo Alto, and KG-175 encryptors.
- Experience with Open STIG vulnerability identification.
- Active DoD 8570 IAG Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ relevant certifications such as CCNP and CISSP.
- Experience with vendors such as Netscout, BlueCoat, and NetScaler.
- Understanding of Independent Verification and Validation/CORA (CCRI) Processes and Procedures.
- Experience with firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
Pay
$130,000 – $150,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and certifications directly related to the position.
