Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise network. This role offers the opportunity to lead network performance at scale and shape the performance, resilience, and evolution of a worldwide infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deploying advanced network system upgrades across global field sites
• Serving as the primary technical focal point for installations and site coordination
• Delivering hands-on troubleshooting and rapid issue resolution
• Performing and supporting network maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle upgrades
• Producing clear, actionable documentation and reporting
• Contributing to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
• Ensuring compliance, standards alignment, and best-practice implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or related field
• 12–15 years of relevant experience
• Top Secret clearance (minimum)
• U.S. Citizenship
• Demonstrated expertise in network infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on experience with Juniper SSR architecture and configuration
• Strong background in SD-WAN technologies and deployments
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE
• Solid understanding of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
• Experience with network virtualization and software-defined networking
• Familiarity with network automation tools
• Understanding of QoS, WAN optimization, and modern network architecture principles
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Pay

Pay Range: $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
