Senior Network Engineer (Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Required)

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, update, and secure network environments using a wide range of Cisco products.
• Manage other critical network components like F5, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, SPLUNK, and ServiceNow.
• Lead projects with minimal oversight, ensuring all network devices and applications are patched, secure, and operating efficiently.
• Perform DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) validations.
• Manage cable systems.
• Develop workflows for Cisco-based assets.
• Utilize ACAS to monitor security postures.
• Collaborate with developers to identify and develop necessary workflows within ServiceNow.
• Configure and reconfigure network applications.
• Manage LAN/WAN environments.
• Manage network security.
• Process IT service requests and trouble tickets.
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and SOPs.
• Manage the lifecycle of network devices.
• Provide comprehensive monthly status reports to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)-appointed Technical Assistant (TA).
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required to support both scheduled and unscheduled service outages.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• IAW DoD 8140.03-M, must meet the Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications.
• One of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNP.
• A current Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) certification.
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 5 years of DoD network engineering experience or 8 years total of network engineering experience.
• Experience managing Cisco Routers and Switches.
• Experience managing Cisco firewalls – Firepower.
• Experience managing Cisco ACI and ISE.
• Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience utilizing SPLUNK, ACAS, WhatsUpGold.
• Experience managing F5.
• Experience supporting VMware NSX.
• Experience using Microsoft Visio.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, etc…).
• Able to carry 40 pounds due to installations.
• Able to work occasional after-hours and weekend work as required to support both scheduled and unscheduled service outages.
