Senior Network Consultant

About the role

You will work as part of a team of consultants based in Zaventem and serve customers primarily located in Belgium. Occasional travel abroad may be required depending on ongoing projects. The role involves the design, implementation, and support of network-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Discover and test new solutions, components, or features
• Participate in trainings and obtain required certifications
• Build architectures and designs based on customer requirements
• Perform audits and suggest improvements
• Provide technical product presentations and demonstrations
• Elaborate, implement, and maintain customized solutions to meet customers’ needs
• Provide pre-sales technical support
• Keep up to date on new technologies, standards, and evolutions
• Perform customer technical product training
• Provide support for customer product evaluations
• Resolve incidents and problems raised by the customer and escalate to providers if needed
• Participate in projects and coordinate activities
• Document customer infrastructures and implementation details

Requirements

• Solid working knowledge of Ethernet and network protocols such as TCP/IP, as well as core network services (DHCP, IPAM, DNS)
• High experience in Layer 2 / Layer 3 technologies and IP routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
• Strong experience in LAN and WLAN implementations
• Experience in Intelligent Traffic Management solutions
• Experience with Network Access Control solutions
• Knowledge of Network Monitoring solutions

• Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, French, and English

Skills

• Experience with HP, Aruba Networks, Extreme, or Cisco (desirable)
• Skills in Services Performance Management technologies (desirable)
• Knowledge of Software-defined networking (SDN) (desirable)
• Experience with SPB (desirable)
• Recognized professional qualifications and certifications (e.g., HP, Extreme, Cisco) (nice to have)
