Senior Network Automation Engineer, Full-Stack

About the role

The Federal Reserve seeks a Senior Network Automation Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of automation solutions, manage legacy software, and integrate business applications. This role involves end-to-end development, technical leadership, lifecycle management, system integration, UI modernization, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End Development: Design, test, and implement complex automation solutions in NextJS, JavaScript, and Python environments.
• Support Legacy Software: Direct junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure architectural integrity.
• Guide Projects: Manage the full release cycle, including security compliance, architectural design reviews, and production readiness testing.
• Build Integrations: Develop high-performance integrations using MuleSoft API Gateways and ServiceNow.
• Create User Interfaces: Develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for self-service network management tools using Angular.
• Operational Support: Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure the availability of critical automation services.

Qualifications

• Full-Stack Development: Advanced proficiency in Java, NextJS, and JavaScript with API-driven connectivity.
• Network Automation: Proven experience building and maintaining self-service tools.
• Cloud & IaC: Expertise in AWS architecture and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• UI Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Angular for modern, responsive dashboards.
• Enterprise Integration: Deep knowledge of MuleSoft and multi-threaded development for high-throughput operations.
• ServiceNow: Experience with ITSM responsibilities.
• Platform Knowledge: Deployment and management of applications in Red Hat OpenShift, CI/CD experience, and knowledge in GitHub/GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins.
