Senior Network Architect

About the role

Bcore is seeking a Senior Network Architect to join their Mission Services division in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Python, Java, automation, and systems design, along with deep knowledge of cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction, roadmap, and standard creation for architecture design and standards
• Create and maintain high-level system specifications
• Support Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC)
• Collaborate with engineers to develop design solutions
• Evaluate current and emerging technologies and their impact on solutions
• Work independently and demonstrate aptitude for getting things done
• Develop future technology and architectural advancements to support customer vision and goals

Requirements

• Must have a TS/SCI clearance with Poly
• Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science with 11+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Python, Java, automation, and systems design
• Significant experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, Oracle)
• Ability to provide strategic direction, roadmap, and standard creation for architecture design and standards
• Experience with Configuration Management Tools (Puppet, Salt, Terraform, Chef, etc.)
• Knowledge of Containers (Dockers, Kubernetes)

Qualifications

• Experience with automated testing
• Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects
• Knowledge of web applications and frameworks (Ruby, Rails, Django, etc.)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of Agile development principles
