About the Role
This position is on the Assure Engineering team, where you will design, build, and maintain the back-end services that power Assure - Delinea's multi-tenant security, identity management, and audit platform with 30+ ERP and SaaS integrations. As a Senior .NET Software Engineer, you will architect and deliver RESTful APIs and background services in .NET, work across a rich SQL Server data layer, and operate those services on Microsoft Azure. This role will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
What You'll Do
- Architect, develop, test, and maintain high-quality .NET services, including RESTful APIs and background workers, for the Assure application, ensuring alignment with our security and cloud architecture standards.
- Build and extend features across Assure's core modules (Access Control, Access Review, Change Tracking, Access Provisioning, Security Designer, and others) and its library of ERP/SaaS integrations.
- Design and maintain the SQL Server data layer, including stored procedures, functions, views, and tables.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps to define roadmaps, establish API contracts, and drive technical decisions from design through production.
- Conduct code and design reviews, reinforcing best practices in security, data integrity, and software quality.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to enable consistent, automated deployments.
- Leverage AI-driven development tools and coding agents to accelerate delivery and improve engineering productivity.
- Mentor engineering peers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on .NET (C#).
- Experience with .NET Framework is essential; exposure to modern .NET is a plus, as some of our smaller services run on newer versions.
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and back-end services in production environments.
- Strong SQL Server skills, including writing and optimizing queries and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including App Services and Azure-native services.
- Solid understanding of multi-tenant SaaS / web application architecture and the trade-offs of operating at scale.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in an Agile team environment.
We'd Love To See
- Front-end experience with AngularJS (preferred but not required) for occasional full-stack contributions.
- Experience with background/asynchronous processing using Azure WebJobs or Azure Functions.
- Experience integrating with third-party ERP and SaaS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, NetSuite).
- Experience with AI-driven development practices, including the use of AI coding agents such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor to accelerate development workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD in Azure DevOps and pipeline-based deployments.
- Experience implementing structured logging and application monitoring (e.g., Serilog, Application Insights).
