Hybrid$60k–$117k/yrFull-time
About the role
In this role, you will oversee end-to-end delivery of complex applications built on ASP.NET MVC and Core frameworks, ensuring robust architecture, code quality, and alignment with payer domain requirements to improve operational efficiency and data reliability for business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering planning activities by defining milestones, estimating effort, and coordinating hybrid team execution so that day-shift delivery cycles meet stringent timelines and quality standards without requiring travel.
- Drive design and implementation of secure, scalable ASP.NET Core Web APIs that streamline integrations between payer platforms, partner systems, and internal tools, resulting in faster claims processing and better member service outcomes.
- Manage code development practices in VB.NET and C#.NET programming by establishing conventions, reviewing merges, and promoting reuse to optimize performance, maintainability, and long-term sustainability of the .NET Framework-based solutions.
- Coordinate closely with product owners, business analysts, and payer operations experts to translate domain use cases into clear technical designs, thereby reducing ambiguity and ensuring that engineering output directly addresses real-world payer challenges.
- Provide hands-on guidance to engineers on .NET Core deployment patterns, error handling, logging, and configuration management, helping the team build resilient services that can be monitored and improved continuously.
- Champion secure coding practices across all ASP.NET components by promoting validations, encryption, and proper access control so that sensitive payer information is protected and regulatory expectations are met.
- Facilitate regular technical reviews and walkthroughs of MVC controllers, data access layers, and service interfaces to detect defects early, improve system performance, and foster shared ownership of application reliability.
- Guide the modernization of legacy .NET Framework applications into more modular and cloud-friendly architectures, enabling smoother integration with contemporary payer platforms and supporting long-term digital transformation goals.
- Support continuous improvement by introducing automated testing strategies for web applications and APIs using appropriate tools so that defect leakage is minimized and day-to-day releases remain stable and predictable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, compliance, and analytics to ensure that engineering outputs deliver measurable business value such as reduced processing times, improved data accuracy, and enhanced reporting for payer clients.
- Mentor engineers on hybrid work best practices, communication routines, and documentation standards to keep distributed teams aligned, focused, and accountable while maintaining productivity during day shifts.
- Promote data-driven decision-making by encouraging the use of engineering metrics, defect trends, and deployment health indicators so that future technical investments in payer solutions are guided by tangible outcomes.
