Maintain and modernise a mission-critical .NET application

Maintain and extend the existing VB.NET and C# codebase
Continue the partial VB.NET to C# migration pragmatically — modernise where it matters, leave what's stable alone
Deliver against a hard deadline with minimal onboarding

Job Requirements

• 8+ years .NET experience — BOTH VB.NET and C# required, this is non-negotiable
• Current VB.NET use within the last 12 months — primary screen, no exceptions
• Pragmatic with legacy codebases — knows what to modernise vs what to leave alone
• Strong SQL Server: queries, stored procedures, optimisation
• Nice to have:
• Prior experience working alongside teams based in the US, Canada, or Europe
• Prior partial-migration or modernisation project experience
• Mission-critical or safety-sensitive application background
