About the role

We are seeking a Senior .NET AI Developer to lead the development of scalable, cloud-native, event-driven applications while driving adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across the SDLC. This role combines deep .NET expertise with cloud, messaging, and Generative AI technologies to deliver modern business solutions in a complex financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and modernize distributed applications using .NET, Kafka, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Build high-volume APIs and services that support business-critical workflows and transaction processing.
  • Partner with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions.
  • Leverage GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Gemini, etc.) to accelerate development, testing, troubleshooting, automation, and documentation.
  • Establish AI-assisted development practices leveraging prompt engineering, custom instructions, and agentic workflows.
  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, performance tuning, observability, resiliency, and production-readiness standards.
  • Support modernization initiatives by transforming legacy applications into cloud-native, event-driven platforms.
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices in .NET development and responsible AI adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience developing scalable .NET applications and web services.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • .NET / C#
    • Kafka
    • REST APIs
    • Microservices
    • Event-Driven Architectures
    • Distributed Systems
  • Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Splunk, JSON/XML, caching, performance tuning, observability, and resiliency patterns.
  • Proven experience serving as a technical lead for projects or development teams.
  • 6+ years of cloud-native development experience using GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or PCF deployment environments.
  • Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, or other relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience supporting application modernization and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML implementations or AI-assisted software development practices.
  • Experience using GenAI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, GPT, Gemini, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Financial services or broker-dealer industry experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
  • Experience with TDD, BDD, QA automation, and quality engineering practices.
  • Experience creating architecture diagrams, technical specifications, runbooks, and design documentation.
  • Background in performance engineering, reliability testing, and operational readiness for distributed platforms.
  • Experience with AI-assisted SDLC transformation initiatives and developer productivity programs.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers on .NET, cloud-native development, distributed systems, and AI-enabled engineering practices.
