Senior Mortgage Trader

Responsibilities

• Utilize mortgage expertise to manage risk and trade profitably
• Develop and maintain quantitative tools and analytics for strategy optimization
• Contribute to the desk's automation and e-trading initiatives, including algo pricing logic and auto-hedging workflows
• Collaborate with fellow traders to share insights and refine trading strategies
• Mentor junior traders on the desk

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience trading mortgages for a proprietary book
• Demonstrated track record of profitable mortgage trading
• Deep understanding of mortgage pricing and risk metrics
• Spec Pool Trading experience is required
• Proficiency with trading and risk systems
• Strong quantitative aptitude; ability to reason quickly under pressure with sound judgment on risk
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with sales and clients
• Strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset
