Senior Mobile Equipment Operator

About the role

Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Senior Mobile Equipment Operator for our Livingston, AL plant. This role supports a positive safety culture in a 24/7 aggregate environment regulated by MSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, cranes, track mobiles, and yard vehicles to move materials and products between workstations and receiving/storage locations.
• Ensure proper identification of parts and materials.
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
• Perform equipment inspections.
• Operate all types of mining equipment efficiently in all weather conditions in a mining production environment.
• Load product and overburden in open pit mines.
• Attend scheduled departmental and safety meetings.
• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Complete work maintenance orders.
• Record operational and production data accurately.
• Collect and test samples of materials/products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Transfer materials/supplies/product between work areas.
• Communicate and work with other departments.
• Attend scheduled departmental and safety meetings.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Loader experience, minimum of 5 years.
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy).
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Passing drug and physical testing and background check.
• Ability to operate at least 3 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.).
• Ability to operate excavator and driller/auger.
• Mine Safety Training (MSHA) – will train upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills
